Welcome to the official bylaws of the Montezuma Valley Volunteer Community Service Organization (MVVCSO), certified and ratified by our Voting Members on April 27, 2025. These bylaws serve as the cornerstone of our governance, guiding our path forward with a steadfast focus on serving the Ranchita community. Crafted to ensure transparency, inclusivity, and accountability, they empower MVVCSO to pursue grant opportunities, strengthen community resilience, and deliver essential services to all residents.
Our bylaws are designed to make MVVCSO grant-ready, aligning with legal standards and funder expectations (e.g., USDA, HRSA) to support programs like food security, elder care, and disaster preparedness. Any future amendments will follow a rigorous process, as outlined in Article VIII, requiring a two-thirds Board vote and majority Voting Member approval with 30 days' public notice. Proposed changes will be guided by community needs, the expertise of our retained attorneys at Tovella-Dowling, and the goal of enhancing grant readiness, ensuring MVVCSO remains a trusted, community-focused organization dedicated to Ranchita’s well-being.
